The Taranaki Airsoft Rangers (TAR) has been running since 2009, based at 590 Denbigh Road, Midhirst, Taranaki — a privately owned 12-hectare farm offering bush, open fields, forest, and buildings all in one venue.
We game fortnightly on Saturdays, weather permitting. You don't need to be a member to play — but members get cheaper games and help support the club. Rentals, BBs, batteries, and eye protection all available on game day.
Airsoft replicas are usually modelled on their real-world counterparts, firing small 6mm BBs. Airsoft is similar to first-person shooting video games (or paintball but better), and it allows experiencing realistic battle and tactical scenario gameplay.
It’s an active, physical sport requiring teamwork, communication, and strategy — played safely with proper eye protection and club rules.
Create your TAR profile and choose your membership tier. Junior players (under 18) need a parent or guardian to complete registration.
The Committee reviews all applications at its sole discretion, in accordance with the TAR Constitution under the Incorporated Societies Act 2022.
Sign the TAR Release of Liability Waiver. Pay your annual subscription to become a financial member.
Show up on game day, check in at the POS, get your replica chrono'd, attend the safety briefing, and join your squad. Welcome to the Rangers.
